On a sunny afternoon sometime in 2009, I used an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the
defunct Oceanic bank at ENL Consortium, Apapa Wharf. After using the ATM, it
was past banking hour, I asked the security man at the entrance if I could go
into the bank to have a cup of water, he agreed. So I went in, I met just one
man in the banking hall, a member of staff, seated by a table who I told I wanted
some drinking water, he told me to open the lower part of the water dispenser
machine to collect a disposable cup to fetch water from the dispenser. I
checked but there was no disposable cup. In his benevolence, he offered me his
mug to fetch water with. I took the mug and positioned it under one of the two
taps, and then the confusion started; I didn’t know which of the taps to fetch
from.

THE TRUTH IS: EVERY ONE HAS A PRICE TAG
Do not mistake the headline to mean we can now trade persons for money and valuables literally. Well, that was done in times past during the slave merchandising era. You’ll get yourself in big trouble if you try such now because it is illegal. So relax.

YOU KNOW YOU MIGHT GET HURT WHEN THE GUN IS COCKED, BUT YOU STILL STAND; BUT WHY?
Many a times we get informed, consciously and unconsciously, that some people are not good for us. We see it right in our very eyes that they are going to hurt us. We get signs by way of the manner they talk to/with us, the kind of tone they use in communicating; we get signs by their body language, the way they look at us, the way they relate with us; we get signs also by the way they treat us, neither answering of our calls and chats nor returning them; amongst many other very visible signs. Despite all these, we still allow ourselves fall prey of their ill attitudes towards us. We give them the most prized possession we own: our heart, knowing fully well that they are going to break it. We let ourselves become vulnerable because we desire and want to exhibit the most important quality of being human, the quality of love ❤.

Operation Detoxify Your Mindset II
It's Unintelligent To Castigate What You Don't Know
Some time ago, I was teaching Abigail, 5, one of the students I teach Mathematics privately, how to solve operation problems with columns and rows. It is basically simple. I did an illustration on the whiteboard, she wasn't paying attention. She looked to the board, and all of a sudden she bursted to a loud cry. What has happened to Abigail in this very short moment I wondered with a puzzled face. Then I asked her what the matter was. "I don't like maths!", she yelled. "Why", I asked, "I don't understand!", she responded. "Ehen? Is that the reason you are crying?", I asked. She nodded in the affirmative.

It is normal for us to see the Sun ☀ in the morning and to see the Moon at night. It’s also normal for a seed to be buried in the ground and bring forth root then to stem and continues that process to become a tree 🎄 .

THE COST OF IGNORANCE
"If
you think to get knowledge is expensive, try ignorance."
Anita, 11, is the joy of her parents and her sibling. She's loved by many people she had made contact with. She has a kind and loving heart, always eager to be of help to people. Last week Monday, the civic education teacher in her school taught her class the basics of crossing the road instructing them to adhere to the principle. Today, she missed the school bus and so she had to walk to school, about 15 minutes. She gets on the road, remembers what she was taught on crossing roads:

WHAT IS FOOD POISONING?
In the primary four class of a state-owned school, the
teacher, Uncle Preye, is teaching the pupils Nutrition, a topic under Primary
Science. The class is lively as the pupils take turns to give answer to
questions asked by their uncle and everything is good. The class continues that
way until the uncle asks the last but not the least question

BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU'VE GOT
I was in a bus en route for Oyingbo, Ebutte Metta, when my
phone rang, it was my mom calling. I answered the call and with joy in her
voice she told me the good news that Chidinma, my twin sister, had just given
birth to her second child, a baby girl.

A RAT TAUGHT ME A LESSON
A little rat kept disturbing my house, so I had to find a
lasting solution; which is to get it away.
And so that evening, I got a rat gum, positioned it so
strategically that it caught the rat in no time. I looked at the rat as it
struggled to release itself but to no avail. After watching for a while, I
decided to leave it there until the next day.

How To Know If It’s Love You Are Feeling
You will agree with me that one of the most used words in
all of history is the word, "Love". Love is the feeling of great
fondness or enthusiasm for a person or thing.
A mother, just delivered of her baby, showers it on the new world
comer; siblings show it to each other; parents express it to their children;
people, for the sake of the word, can do anything to make friends happy; some
people show it to other people just for goodness sake; and also, lover boys
sing enchanting songs to their lover girls, and vice versa, to shows how
mad-in-love they are.

SMILE AND LET SMILE
And so I went to the Fidelity Bank branch in my area to make
an enquiry, a simple one. I got to the bank, went straight to the customer care
section and as I opened my mouth to say the reason for my visit, one of the two
agents (female) asked me to sit and wait for my turn. She would have given a
simple answer to my question if I had asked, and then I leave the bank, I
thought; but in other to be courteous, I sat.

AND SHE TOLD ME, "MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY F*** ALONE"
As a sharp guy, I made her acquaintance and we became quick
friends; this was because I was told that her principle is, "Freely I
received, and freely I shall give".

WORLDS FASTEST TALKING FEMALE INSPIRE US (603.32 WORDS IN 54.2 SECONDS)
The article you're about to read is one of the best I have
read in recent times. Modupe Ogundare Phoebe, the analyzer, did a very
wonderful breakdown of the lessons and I really got inspired. It’s kind of long
though, but you won’t regret reading this. Enjoy!

A PUSH IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE
There was
a very wealthy and influential king who offered his daughter, the princess, for
marriage. The man that will have her hand in marriage must win a swimming contest;
the prize alongside the princess was the control of up to half of the kingdom.
Of course, men, in their hundreds, from around the world showed interest.

ENGLISH IS NOT EXPRESSION
It was a sunny day, going towards the end of its third quarter. Segun or shexzy Baba for short (actually for long) was returning from the Island. He had gone to make some important enquiries in a company, and need be that he looked smart and fly. From Obalende Park, he entered a bus en route for Bariga.

THE REASON ALL FINGERS ARE NOT EQUAL
“Any man who...uses his own brain too little falls into the lazy habits of thinking”
John in
his second year at the university was a master in the balancing of accounts,
bank reconciliation statement, preparation of Trading, Profit and Loss account,
the Balance Sheet (which is now known as Statement of Accounting Position as
modified by the International Financial Reporting Standard, IFRS) and other
accounting processes; his academic feat was known by all. But James, who was in
the same class with John, struggled to keep his head above water as regards
academics. Both were studying Accounting at the university.

GOOGLE: KNOW ANYTHING AT LITTLE OR NO COST
"There shouldn't be dull persons in the world anymore.""Uncle, do you have a game in your phone?" 7 years old Ayodeji asked me. I visited their Festac home. His mom, MyLady as I fondly call her, wasn't around, so my company was kept by her two sons, Ayomide being the younger.
