THE TRUTH IS: EVERY ONE HAS A PRICE TAG

Do not mistake the headline to mean we can now trade persons for money and valuables literally. Well, that was done in times past during the slave merchandising era. You’ll get yourself in big trouble if you try such now because it is illegal. So relax.

Have you ever been in a situation where you can not approach someone on an issue, for whatever reason(s), and you have had to tell someone or some people to assist approach that person? Whether the unapproachable person was a tough boss at the office, a difficult person not wanting to accept you ideals, or someone of the opposite sex you had a crush on; whoever that person is, if you eventually got the issue resolved after someone had assisted in relating with them or after going the extra mile personally, then it means you paid the price tag they hitherto carry around their necks, howbeit a high one.

Similarly, if you have had issues, whatever it is, and you got them resolved, you actually did pay a price for them.

So simply put, as with any merchandise, everyone and everything have something that would take them away on any issue and in any circumstance, when it is right and correct. It could either be material or immaterial; tangible or intangible. It could be resources at your disposal and it could be that at others disposal. It could be your time, personal skills, intellect, respect earned, and money. With the aforementioned, people would be 'bought over’ and made to do one's bidding.

For some people, offer them some amount of money and their loyalty and allegiance is yours. For some others, you have to either offer a higher amount of money, some sweet talk, compromise on your stance or some other things and they would do your bidding. This is common in politics. Interestingly, it is usually a win-win situation in the mind of parties involved, though one party could actually be pulling a fast one on the other.

The truth is: we can all be bought, at any time and in any situation if the price is right and correct. The price varies depending on the situation. The price could be money, intimidation, respect, soft words from sugar-coated lips, tact, attitude, among others. You just have to discover what the person and/or the issue demands and give it to them. That’s all.

In the end, we are in a world of buying and selling. You buy me, I buy you.
